Meet Hannah, who’s written for the magazine since the beginning and the Holiday Highlights columnist for Inkpot!
She’s a 16-year-old in 11th grade whose subject preferences are mixed; she loves algebra (but not geometry), biology (but not geology), reading (but not writing), editing other people’s work, parts of history, and she has “a love-hate relationship with languages.” If she could choose any job, she would travel the world doing medical missions. Her column in Inkpot is called Holiday Highlights, where she’ll “draw your attention to what the “experts” say this month is about, and also some interesting holidays throughout the month that I think you should celebrate. Is there a holiday that you think should be created? Contact us!”
An ESTJ, Hannah would describe herself as “studious, competitive, and… confused” and her ultimate superpower would be the ability to communicate telepathically. A fictional character similar to her would be Hermione Granger in Harry Potter -- “just not quite as diligent. My main similarity is that I love to Google (the modern research tool) different challenges.” She loves coffee and all chocolate, although if she had to choose one kind, it’d be dark. One of her hobbies is participating in the National Bible Bee, so, especially in the fall, she does a significant amount of Scripture memory. Her favorite Bible verse is Philippians 3:12, because “it’s such a great reminder of how Christ Jesus HAS made me his own. But really, my favorite verse is whichever I’m currently meditating on.”
Look out for Hannah’s column, Holiday Highlights, in Inkpot!
